Yuzu Juice Concentrate, 16.6 floz
Refreshing, fruity, and sour with a touch of bitterness, Shimanto Domeki’s yuzu citrus juice concentrate is simply made with yuzu grown in the company’s home of Kochi Prefecture, and tensai-to (beet sugar) from Hokkaido without any additives or flavoring. Kochi is known as the number one yuzu citrus producing prefecture in Japan both in production volume and plantation area, and the yuzu used in this concentrate, sourced from the area around Niyodo River, is particularly aromatic and flavorful. The yuzu flavor is nicely enveloped by the gentle beet sugar and this creates a pleasant mouthfeel and impression. You can make a wonderful yuzu drink just by diluting 1 part of the yuzu juice concentrate with 6 parts of water. It can also be used as a flavoring for beer or shochu cocktails as well as bitters for whisky or gin cocktails.
Making yuzu drinks is effortless if you have Yuzu Juice Concentrate. Just dilute 1 part of the concentrate with 6 parts of cold, hot or sparkling water, and you’ll have a wonderful yuzu drink. One bottle of Yuzu Juice Concentrate comes in 500 ml (1 pint), so you can make almost 3 liters (6 pints) of yuzu drinks with a single bottle! Also, the concentrate can add a unique flavor to cocktails—it’s particularly great with gin, beer, shochu, sake, and whisky-based cocktails. Since it has a syrupy texture and a refreshing sourness, you can even enjoy it with creamy desserts like yogurt or ice cream. Or you can even make original yuzu dressings and sauces to enjoy with salad or cold appetizers.
