Akitakomachi Company’s home prefecture, Akita, is hailed as one of the top quality rice producers in Japan. Made only with the germinated brown and white rice grown in the area—using neither corn nor soybeans, common ingredients in standard gluten-free pasta, this gluten free macaroni is a healthful and delicious alternative to regular macaroni. Germinated or sprouted brown rice has fifteen times more gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) than standard brown rice. GABA is known to help protect the brain from harmful amino acids as well as to boost the central nervous system’s ability to support good sleep and reduce stress. On top of GABA, germinated brown rice has gamma oryzanol, an antioxidant that keeps cells healthy and moderates cholesterol levels. Akitakomachi Company’s gluten free macaroni is a GFCO (Gluten-Free Certification Organization) certified product and non-GMO. No sodium or colorants are used.

You can cook this GABA-rich, gluten-free macaroni just like regular macaroni. Bring water to a boil in a large pot, add some salt, add the macaroni, and cook for 6-8 minutes. Once the macaroni is finished cooking, drain, and immediately dress with your choice of oil or sauce. Serve this healthier version of macaroni with your favorite pasta sauce, toppings, and ingredients, or enjoy it in various dishes such as salad, gratin, soup, or mac & cheese!

Germinated Brown Rice Flour, Rice Flour, Olive Oil, Modified Starch, Propylene Glycol Alginate, Thickener.

Good pasta

Very tasty gluten-free pasta. Has a nice flavor and stands alone on its own! If you have to be gluten-free, it's a great choice.
