Chirashi Sushi Kit, 10.52 oz


If you've ever wanted to make your own chirashi sushi at home but thought it might be too difficult, you can use this chirashi sushi kit! It's very easy to use and serves as a great introduction to making your own chirashi sushi from scratch. This package contains all of the essential ingredients needed to make chirashi sushi, such as sushi vinegar, seasoning, nori seaweed and five pre-cooked vegetables: lotus roots, carrots, kampyo (dried gourd strips), bamboo shoot and shiitake mushroom. All you need to do is prepare steamed rice and any additional toppings you'd like to use. The kit can also be used for sushi rolls and inari sushi as well. It contains no MSG and includes 2 packets that can serve 4 to 6 people.

1. Cook 4 cups of Japanese rice (short-grain type recommended). *Equivalent to approximately 3 US regular cups. You can also purchase sushi rice and follow the instructions on how to make sushi rice the proper way.
2. Place 42 ounces of warm cooked rice in a large bowl, and add 2 seasoning packets. Mix quickly.
3. Add preferred toppings such as sashimi-grade tuna or salmon, shredded egg crepe, edamame, snow peas, cooked eel, boiled shrimp or crab, cucumber, pickled ginger, sesame seeds and whatever else you want to try!
4. Sprinkle nori seaweed topping on top and serve. Enjoy!
