Instead of using wheat flour for thickening, the rice puree is used in this product, which is great at retaining moisture while adding rich texture to the sauce. They use top-quality rice grown in Akita Prefecture. Pre-cooked with tomatoes, sautéed onion, and red chili pepper, it spices up your pasta dish instantly. There are two ways to prepare this ready-to-eat sauce, either on the stove or in the microwave.
When using a stove: Put the package (Do not unseal the package!) into a pot of boiling water and continue boiling for 3-4 minutes.
When using a microwave: Unseal the package and pour the sauce into a microwave-safe bowl. Loosely cover the bowl with microwave-safe plastic wrap and heat for 40-50 seconds in a 1200W microwave. (Adjust the length of time according to the wattage of your microwave.)
You can dress the sauce over your choice of pasta, and top it with fresh basil as you like. One package serves one plate.
