Also, the water contributes to the smooth yet firm texture of the tofu. The jerky’s smoky aroma comes from a special blend of cherry wood chips and the outer shells of Shimanto-guri brand chestnuts. Tofu Jerky is a wonderful snack by itself, but if eaten with alcoholic beverages like sake or beer, it creates an unbeatable combination. You can use it for cooking as well. No artificial flavorings or preservatives are used.
